What They Do:
The skunk common to Colorado is the Striped Skunk. Skunks are omnivores and are nocturnal. Over the winter months, they are typically inactive and rarely feed. In Denver, their mating season seems to be in February. That's when the smell and digging typically begins. Birthing is in the early spring (March/April) and produces 1-4 offspring. They have very powerful front claws which they use for digging. They will dig a den in the ground under concrete walkways, foundations and entry ways. They will also live under decks, sheds or in crawlspaces.

Skunks are the #2 carrier of rabies in the United States.

About Skunk Spray:
The skunk spray causes extreme irritation and temporary blindness. The range of spray accuracy is 7-15 feet. They carry enough to spray up to 6 times. It then takes another 10 days to produce another supply.

Skunk spray does not contain rabies.

Skunks spray for two reasons: defense and to attract a mate.

What We Do:
We will remove any skunks living on or near your property. Typically, we do this with live trapping. After we have removed all the skunks, we can 'skunk-proof' the areas they were living. We will typically screen off the areas where they were digging or getting under the patio, etc

Pricing:
Our pricing is as follows: $75 to inspect and set up 3 traps and $75 per trip to remove the skunks. Permanent repairs can be quoted at inspection.

These are very important pricing questions you should ask every company when comparing service costs. They will have a dramatic impact on the overall cost of the job:

If we catch any other animal than a skunk (neighbor's cat, etc), there is no charge to release the animal.

You are not charged a 'trip charge' to remove the traps once the job is complete.

If the skunks trip the traps without getting caught, there is no charge to re-bait.

We also only charge the set-up fee once. If you have a skunk problem down the road, at any time, we re-setup the traps at no charge.
